Feather and Bone has been one of Sydney's most respected ethical butcheries since 2006. It buys whole animals directly from regeneratively managed Australian farms and breaks them down in-house, a nose-to-tail approach built around no waste and complete transparency about where every cut comes from.
All of the meat and poultry is pasture-raised, with no synthetic fertilisers, pesticides, added hormones or antibiotics in the supply chain. Alongside beef, pork, lamb, goat, chicken, duck and geese there are sausages, charcuterie, bones, organs, broths and ready-to-eat meals, plus a small range of vegetables, dairy and pantry staples. The team also runs butchery classes and spit-roasting.
Feather and Bone is a genuine whole-animal butchery, so the range follows what the farms have available rather than a fixed list. There are two shops, Marrickville and Waverley, and online ordering with home delivery. Its guiding line is simple: healthy ecosystems lead to nutrient-dense food and healthier people.
